Samantha Hokulani Sales

Samantha Sales is a recent UCSB graduate, earning her Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences as a Promise Scholar. Originally from Lathrop, California, Sales has managed to make her mark at UCSB through her many affiliations and work advocating for students in need. Her article in the Imagine Journal was written in hopes of raising awareness about the need for resources to address unique struggles faced by students that impact academic outcomes and overall well-being. While pursuing her B.S., she served as both the Internal Chair for the Filipino Association for Health Careers and the Promise Scholars Summer Team Coordinator for the Scholar Retention Program. Sales can be found now at CSU East Bay as a member of their Pre-Professional Academic Health Program as she prepares for medical school and a fulfilling career in medicine. As she pursues her goal of becoming a compassionate and nurturing pediatrician, Sales finds work-life balance through playing the piano, Tahitian dancing, and reading in her spare time.
