Zoe Ziv is a fourth-year undergraduate at UC Santa Barbara majoring in Psychological & Brain Sciences with minors in Anthropology and Applied Psychology. Originally from the Middle East, she immigrated to the Bay Area at age eight. Zoe's research explores visual mental imagery and dual coding theory as tools to support memory and learning among diverse student populations and individuals with cognitive impairments. She hopes her work will improve educational outcomes and promote more accessible learning strategies. Zoe plans to pursue a career as an independent researcher and professor, with a focus on cognitive development across cultural and evolutionary contexts. Outside of academics, she works as a clinical behavior therapist for children with developmental disabilities and enjoys skiing, going to the beach, and singing karaoke.
