Jacqueline recently graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Psychological and Brain Sciences, with double minors in Spanish and Applied Psychology. While at UCSB, she was a part of three research labs: the Koegel Autism Center, The Cultural Psychology Lab through the Psychological and Brain Sciences Department, and the Sharkey School Psychology Lab through the Counseling, Clinical, and School Psychology Department within the Gevirtz School of Graduate Education. As a researcher in the McNair Scholars Program, Jacqueline worked under the mentorship of Dr. Jill Sharkey while conducting her independent research on Multidimensional Therapy with multilingual families. As a future Clinical Psychology PhD student at the University of Nevada, Reno, she hopes to see changes within the dissemination and implementation of science amongst the Latinx population while working with children and families. As a future Bilingual Clinical Psychologist, Jacqueline will continue doing research in hopes of becoming an Academic Health Center Psychologist and Professor while doing research, providing clinical services, Spanish supervision and improving health policy and health equity for the Latinx population.
