Carla Suarez Soto is a McNair scholar from Santa Rosa, California who recently graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in three different majors: Linguistics, Spanish, and Italian. She is pursuing her interest in the English language education of students whose first language is not English as she plans to attend UC Santa Cruz to obtain her Ph.D. in Education. Outside of her academic pursuits, Suarez enjoys doing arts and crafts, going for walks, and spending time in nature.
